The Examination Board announces that, following its decision of July 2, 2025, it will no longer approve the crediting of final theses for the B.Sc. Informatik, B.Sc. Cyber Security, M.Sc. Computer Science, and M.Sc. Cyber Security programs that have also been submitted for another degree program in- or outside the aforementioned programs. Students who were already enrolled in one of the following combinations of programs at the University of Bonn in the summer semester of 2025 shall enjoy protection of legitimate expectations:

  • B.Sc. Informatik and B.Sc. Cyber Security;
  • B.Sc. Informatik and B.Sc. Mathematik;
  • M.Sc. Computer Science and M.Sc. Mathematics.

The following transitional arrangement shall apply to this group. The Examination Board gives these students the opportunity to express their intention to make use of the option of having their thesis credited to both degree programs by submitting a letter of intent (to be submitted by December 31, 2025).
