You can reach the institute in about 15 minutes from the main train station via Endenicher Allee.

The Poppelsdorf campus is car-free. You can easily walk to the institute from Nussallee or Endenicher Allee to the main entrance of the Informatics department.

There are several bus routes from Bonn main station to the Poppelsdorf campus.

From bus platform A1
Take bus lines 602 or 603 in the direction of "Uniklinik Süd", "Waldau" or "Röttgen Schleife". Get off at the bus stops "Beringstraße" or "Am Botanischen Garten".

From bus platform E
Take bus lines 604, 605, 606 or 607 in the direction of "Ückesdorf", "Duisdorf Bahnhof" or "Malteser-Krankenhaus". Get off at the "Kaufmannstraße" stop.

From there you can easily walk to the institute, just enter "Friedrich-Hirzebruch-Allee 8" in your GPS.

There are several ways to get to the institute by car.

From A 565 exit Poppelsdorf

• On "Reuterstraße" in the direction of "B9/Bad Godesberg"
• 1st traffic light right into "Jagdweg"
• Turn right into Sternenburgstraße
• After 300m turn right into "Clemens-August-Straße"
• The university campus begins at the level of Poppelsdorf Palace

From A 562 exit Bonn-Zentrum

• B9 direction "Bonn-Zentrum"
• At "Bundeskanzlerplatz" keep left into the street "Am Botanischen Garten"
• Turn right into "Meckenheimer Allee" (beginning of the university campus)

At the Poppelsdorf campus there are only paid parking spaces for the university.

• In the southwest of the campus: access via "Endenicher Allee 19"
• On both sides of the campus in "Nussallee"

Attention: Vehicles without a parking ticket will be towed away without warning!

You can get a parking ticket from the parking ticket machine or from the janitors in the lecture hall building at the info point.
