Special Regulation 150 - Master modules during your Bachelor's

As a gesture of goodwill, the examination board currently allows our own bachelor students to register for exams in up to five master modules via  BASIS before they have completed their Bachelor's degree.

The prerequisite for registration is that you have already obtained at least 150 ETCS that count towards your Bachelor's degree and that you have already completed all compulsory modules except, possibly, the graduation project, the accompanying seminar and the professional internship (for cyber security students). This must be accompanied by an application for credit transfer toward our master’s programs.  The application for both simultaneously is submitted directly in Basis by registering for the exam Sonderregelung 150 (number 614160000 for the Bachelor in Computer Science or number 614160010 for the Bachelor in Cyber Security). Once this is approved (you see it as passed then), you can register for certain Master’s modules and register for the corresponding exams.

Completed master modules are not counted towards your Bachelor's degree. However, if you enroll in the master programme, the completed master modules can be recognized upon request, by the same procedure as for modules completed elsewhere.

In the master program, students are allowed up to three attempts to improve their grades. These attempts may be used before the start of the master program, in accordance with the provisions of the master examination regulations.
