It is primarily aimed at Computer Science students, but is also open to students from all departments of University of Bonn. The series highlights how interdisciplinary, practical, and socially relevant modern AI research is. Participants can experience how cross-university collaboration works, a model that’s increasingly important in both research and industry. Fridays, 14:15 to 15:45 p.m. The topics include: Trustworthy AI Resource-Aware Machine Learning Hybrid Machine Learning Human-Centered AI Systems, Embodied AI Natural Language Processing AI in Planning & Logistics AI in Life Sciences & Healthcare AI in Physics AI in Industry & Production
The Bonn Sustainable AI Lab and the Institute for Science and Ethics (IWE) are pleased to announce the Sustainable AI Conference 2025 - Shaping Sustainable AI and its Futures! In a world full of crises, the question arises as to how technologies can contribute to a good life for humans and nature. “Sustainable AI” aims to promote sustainable applications, but must also take into account their negative effects. The concept remains vague and raises questions about goals, scope, and global-local tensions. In addition, methodological approaches are unclear: Which disciplines and traditions provide answers? Should we look to the past or the future, to those affected or those responsible, to problems or solutions?
