Current note: We are still looking for numerous helpers!

Become a volunteer at EGOI 2025 ...
... and support young talents in Computer Science
The European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) will take place in Bonn from July 14 to 20, 2025. Hundreds of schoolgirls from 50 countries will take part to compete in programming. In addition to the competition, there will be an opening and closing ceremony, excursions and other activities.
Many hard-working helpers are needed for such a large international event. That's why we are looking for YOU! Join EGOI 2025 and support the teams before, during and after the competition. Gain unique experiences and show our guests how colorful and hospitable Bonn's Computer Science community is.
Become a Team Guide, for example, and support individual teams during their arrival and stay and accompany them on excursions or at the opening and closing ceremonies. Or become a Super Guide (incl. compensation) or contribute your technical knowledge to the preparations and the ongoing competition. You can find all roles here.
The EGOI 2025 is organized by the Bundesweite Informatikwettbewerbe (BWINF) together with Deutsche Telekom AG and Jane Street – in partnership with the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Bonn and the Lamarr Institute.

What happens at the EGOI
The European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) is a programming competition for female and non-binary students from European countries. The EGOI was founded in 2021. Just a few years later, it attracts delegations from all over the world and is a unique motivational destination for action to promote female talents in Computer Science.
The EGOI shares its competition format with the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), the annual world championship in programming for secondary school students. On each of the two days of the competition, participants take part in a 5-hour exam. They are given a series of difficult algorithmic problems and must solve them by writing programs. Their programs are then evaluated and graded for efficiency and correctness.
