Soccer robots of the University of Bonn defend world championship title At the RoboCup in Bangkok, the humanoid robots of the Bonn-based team NimbRo win the AdultSize class
At the RoboCup World Championship in Bangkok (Thailand), Team NimbRo from the University of Bonn won the competitions of the Humanoid-AdultSize class and thus successfully defended the title. The human-like soccer robots were developed in the Autonomous Intelligent Systems group of the Institute of Computer Science. They competed with an improved vision system and enhanced software - and were thus able to win numerous duels and dribble the ball quickly into the goal.
