Awarded: Dr. Benedikt Kolbe receives teaching award
Dr. Benedikt Kolbe, research associate in Computer Science V Algorithms and Complexity and in Mathematics in the Hausdorff Center, was awarded the teaching award. We congratulate!
In the winter semester 22/23, Dr. Benedikt Kolbe, research associate in Computer Science V Algorithms and Complexity and in Mathematics at the Hausdorff Center, introduced a new Master's module in Computer Science. The module, "Computational Topology" or ComTopo for short, teaches fundamental concepts of relative homology and cohomology theory and persistence theory in computational settings, for example.
The facultative master module enjoyed great popularity among the students and also the feedback of the participants, on the conception and the content of the module, was consistently positive.
For this reason, the Computer Science Department believes that Dr. Kolbe's excellent teaching and the effort he puts into designing the Computational Topology module should be honored with a teaching award. Congratulations!
