For a long time the human-computer interface has been optimised to the manual capabilities of the user, for instance the mouse, controller, or touchscreen. With advances in sensing technology, user input can be reconsidered to be combined with various physiological user data. In particular, the visual capabilities of a user, i.e. eye gaze, may become a pervasive addition to any user interface to complement the traditional manual devices large-scale. My research explores this topic for different aspects, e.g. how systems can implicitly leverage visual behaviour of users to improve usability, or how users can explicitly utilize their gaze for novel interactive experiences. This is considered on different form factors ranging from current mobile devices toward 3D mediums (e.g. AR, VR), pointing toward future interaction possibilities where visual and manual user capabilities are unified to a much  greater extend than presently.
