Registration

Participation at the workshop is by invitation. Invitation will be mainly based on the acceptance of submitted papers. However, the organizers might choose to invite additional participants who are not authors of submitted papers. (If you want to attend workshop presentations and breakout groups without presenting own work please send an email to Guenter Kniesel.)

Registration will be available through the ETAPS 2003 conference website. You will have a choice of registering for the entire conference or only for satellite events, including the USE workshop.

If you register for the USE workshop only, registration before February 5th (early registration deadline) is 748 zloty (PLN) which is about 180 Euro (link to currency converter). It includes participation to USE, the USE proceedings, coffe breaks and sandwiches / soft drinks at lunch time. Here are the relevant details copied from the ETAPS registration page:

Satellite Events Fee
There is a separate registration fee for each satellite event, typically ranging from 60 zl for a half-day tutorial to over 200 zl for a two days satellite event with proceedings (220 PLN for USE).

It is possible to register for a satellite event (workshop or tutorial) without registering for the main conferences, but in that case there is a additional surcharge (300 PLN, reduced to 160 PLN for students) to cover overall organization expenses.
The surcharge is paid only once, disregarding the number of satellite events chosen.

The registration fee of a satellite event covers only attendance to the event and materials, such as proceedings. To cover other costs (sandwiches, coffee breaks, etc.) participants of satellite events must also pay an extra fee (100 PLN, students 70 PLN) for each day of their attendance.
This fee is to be paid only once per day, no matter how many events you attend on that day. The fee is automatically computed on the basis of the dates of the satellite events you register for.

N.B. During the satellite events, sandwiches and (soft) drinks will be provided at lunch time.

Note that the venue of the USE workshop is Room 5820 in the building of the Faculty of Mathematics on the Ochota Campus of Warsaw University (see ETAPS venue page). Therefore hotel Vera might be most convenient for people who attend the USE workshop only.
