Print Account

Once you've registered an user account, you will automatically get an print account too. It is initiated with an amout of 51 Cents. This account will be billed everytime you print anything. Each student is granted a 2 Euro overdraw limit. If your account is overdrawn by more then 2 Euros, any printjob you send will be rejected until your account is balanced again. If your account is highly overdrawn and won't be compensated in a certain amount of time, your account will be locked. To find out how to pay into your account, go to the payment page.

You can check your own accounts balance with a program called pacinfo. You should be able to run this program on any pool pc. There are also two other useful programs, called pacmod, which lets you check your mailflags and prtinfo, which lists all available printers. These programs are only available on SPARC/Solaris systems.

The pseudoprinting card, as which the ZKS-pass may be used, is also invoiced over your printing account. If you request one for the first time you will get the card for free. In case you lose or damage your card, a new one will cost 7 Euro. See ZKS for more informations.

We would ask you to send a mail (from you computer science account) to the PAC-admin at pacadm@iai.uni-bonn.de, in case you've finished or quit your studies and your PAC account is no longer in use. Unfortunately a refunding is not possible, but there is an option to swap your deposit onto an other PAC-account. Excluded are the 51 Cents, which every student gets initialy. Such a refunding is always in the area of responsibility of the PAC-users involved in such a swap scenario. The Institute for Informatik won't participate or control such a transaction in any way.
